| A WORD IN THE SHAPE OF A WITCH. When we first meet, my hair is red. It is as red as the blood that spills out of you and onto the ground, onto my hands as I hold it as though I could simply pour it back in. As red as the tomatoes that grow on our windowsill in the year we live together. As red as the lipstick you say is my favored shade. Blue is not a color that exists when I am with you. |
